The movie KANDAHAR is not about war but its a movie that shows the aftereffect of war. How a war can destroy human emotions, human needs, human rights & human life.

Kandahar was filmed mostly in Iran, including at the refugee camp,^[1] but also secretly in Afghanistan itself. Most people, including Nelofer Pazira, played themselves. The film has won Makhmalbaf the Federico Fellini Prize from UNESCO in 2001.

This movie communicates some topics like the Burkha tradition in Islam. Is the Burkha accepted by the Islamic women by their own choice? or is it a male dominance.Women wearing Burkha also love to do makeup, lipsticks and nail pains but they know that no one is going to notice that.

After war Islamic schools which are known as Madresa which provides education of spirituality but in the meter of war and guns. Parents forces their child to go to madresa because madresa also provide one time of meal to all students and that was only option to feed their children.

After the war robbery and violence can became a part of self existence and surviving.For war the exploding miles and other weapons became dangerous for the citizens that they started loosing their own legs and hands in uncertain blasts.

In the atmosphere of war there were also some characters shown who believe in peace and helping people. The movie mostly talk about hat an idea of war can destroy every need,emotions and ethics of a human, and it can ruin entire society and their roots also. Peace is the only thing that can sustain human existence.
